One of my favorite things to do is to photograph high school seniors. They are so full of energy and excitement, conflict and resolve. They know exactly what they want, all while at the same time, knowing that there is so much they don’t know about what they want. This is exactly why I feel so strongly about needing to sit them down and have them tell their story – right now. There is an edge to not knowing what you don’t know and once they graduate, they will start to know and you’ll have lost that feeling – which is a small window into who they really are – what they’re afraid of, what they’re excited about, how their thoughts and emotions are wired into who they really are.
