But as I've moved to video and studied storytelling, I've realized the image is a one-dimensional representation of the moments whose meaning is defined by the beholder.
Photographs can only say what we see, remember and feel about the moments they represent.
Photographs are placeholders for the memories we hold dear.

The photograph is the decisive moment of any event. Timing, tools, technique and experience play critical roles in capturing the most important moments.

Video and audio take the complexity of capturing a moment to the next level. Audio is often overlooked as a critical component of telling any story.

Words matter. The right words matter even more. I love interviewing people and capturing who they are as much as I love capturing what they look like.

Stories matter. Images, videos and words are a jumbled mess unless you assemble them in an interesting and compelling narrative.
